How Upside Down Text Works
Unicode does not include a true upside-down alphabet. Instead, the generator swaps each letter for a character that looks like it has been rotated: “a” becomes ɐ, “e” becomes ǝ, “h” becomes ɥ and so on, borrowed from the International Phonetic Alphabet and other scripts. It then reverses the order of the letters so the whole line reads correctly when rotated 180°.
